A graduate from Appalachian State, with a Econ background Jeff was fortunate to work in resort marketing as an accountant before earning his license, 
Jeff was honored as a 2019 recipient of  the Dean Day Smith Award for Service to Mankind award and considers this honor one of his greatest achievements. He was honored later that same year as a Leadership Bulloch selection, and finished the program in 2020. He continues to serve the community as a volunteer as a board member for the Statesboro-Bulloch County Chamber of Commmerce, Co-Chairs their Business Workforce and Development Committee and is a member of the Statesboro Kiwanis Club, The Exchange Club and BNI.
