The SHE Expo will bring together women, families, community-based health organizations, medical professionals, fitness, beauty, and wellness experts for a day of education, inspiration, and fun.

Under the theme, Health | Wellness | Empowerment, the Expo is designed to empower women to make better decisions about their health, wellness, lifestyle, and beauty; the day-long event offers information on health issues, available services and resources, and comprehensive wellness. The Expo promises to invigorate the Statesboro community to keep health and wellness a priority.

SHE is organized as a service-learning civic engagement under the category of a Health Fair; therefore, Exhibitors are not permitted to sell their products or services on site. The purpose of participating as an Exhibitor is to enhance a knowledge base on the community by offering learning opportunities, along with information on your brand, services, and products furthering outreach to SHE attendees. Held at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center, on the campus of Georgia Southern University, the Expo will be set-up in four key focus areas designed to engage our attendees in interactive experiences that fit how they live, work, play and learn. Exhibitors and Sponsors will be selected based on how its product or service fits with the focus areas and the program offerings. All Exhibitors must apply to be a vendor at the Expo, and each will be selected to participate based on the available openings and best fit for each focus area.

Family: For this family-friendly Expo, we have added a special area for parents and kids to take a break, play, find great resources and products, and for new moms, a lactation/nursing station.

Lifestyle: The comforts of home and how we cultivate relationships are the focus of this area. Exhibitors will include everything from home care to food tastings and everything in between.

Inside Out: How do we become our best selves, inside and out? Women’s health and wellness information, as well as beauty and fashion, can be found in this area.

Well Connected: How do we engage in civic life and community? What about charitable giving and volunteerism? And, how will technology affect us now and into the future? Find your connections here.

On Saturday, May 12, 2018, attendees will receive medical information, free health screenings, as well as samples, makeovers; and demos from beauty, health and fitness companies. The Expo will also offer six different 45-minute classes. Attendees can pre-register, for free courses on self-defense, hair & makeup tutorials, best massage techniques and more.

In addition to receiving giveaways from participating exhibitors, we will be announcing hourly prizes throughout the day, and each attendee will have a chance to win the SHE Expo Grand Prize!

The 2018 SHE Expo is presented by Statesboro Herald in partnership with several key community and service organizations. The Expo is supported entirely by donated resources and volunteers, in-kind donations, gifts, and the generosity of its sponsors.
