This one day conference will provide the attendees with cutting edge information about dementia, Alzheimer's disease and forgetfulness. This conference will provide healthcare professionals and cargivers with positive approaches for working with persons with dementia. Also, differentiate among the terms: dementia, Alzheirmer's disease, and forgetfulnes.

Apr 23    Business Location Isn't Everything Course
This class is designed for new business owners that are looking for a physical location or for existing business owners that are looking to expand or relocate their business.  It will take an owner through the leasing process starting with identifying an ideal location to the actual signing of the lease.  Topics that are covered include: lease legalities, site selection, rent calculations, lease negotiations, additional costs that may be incurred as well as potential landlord contributions. Resources for demographic research will be introduced and demonstrated as well as other local resources for business owners.

Apr 28    Small Farm Business Planning: Sustainability Includes Profitability - A Guide for Farm Entrepreneurs
The Starting a Small Farm Business program is designed to provide farmers with information on the business aspects of operating a farm. This workshop covers important tools and resources a farm business needs to establish a solid foundation during its formative years. Participants will learn business basics such as defining target markets, record-keeping, understanding cash flow, and the importance of a business plan.

This program is sponsored in part by the University of Georgia Extension, Fort Valley State University Extension, the University of Georgia and Georgia Southern University's Small Business Development Center.
